Community Stuffs aims are to help make local residents happier, healthier and more connected. We feel it is very important to look after yourself and have run a series of project to promote this in the past few years.
In 2016/17 we ran Eastbourne Bread Club at Devonshire Children’s Centre, meeting once a month to bake bread from scratch as a group. The therapeutic qualities of kneading bread were enjoyed by all the participants.
In 2018 we ran wellbeing cafes at Community centres around Eastbourne where we offered
baking for wellbeing as well as art and craft tea and chat about improving your own wellbeing. The sessions were all centred on the 5 ways for wellbeing
Friday Lunch and social Club
This year we are running the Friday Lunch and Social Club at Seaside Community Hub, 125 Seaside, BN22 7NN, our local Community Centre. You can arrive at 11am and sit and have a cup of tea and a chat or play board games with other residents. A delicious two course lunch cooked by Community Stuff is then served at midday when we all sit down together and enjoy our food with lots of conversation and laughter.
